Back to School Dresses for Young Girls



Primary school-age girls from designated needy families receive a brand new reversible jumper ensemble, which includes leggings and tee-shirts, so that they can “dress for success” on that very first day of school. These one of a kind dresses are hand made by local volunteer cutters, sewers and baggers.

 Thanksgiving Food Drive



DCS raised over $12,000 to purchase FoodMaxx Gift cards for recipient families.

In early December DCS partners with VCRC coordinating the donation of non-perishable grocery bags from our Summerset neighbors.

 Adopt a Family Christmas Gift Giving



To help provide a happier holiday season for our underserved families, DCS has set up “adoptions” of client families with donor families from Trilogy at the Vineyards.

Discovery Bay Toy Drive



DCS receives new unwrapped toys from the annual Discovery Bay Toy Drive. DCS partners with VCRC to distribute the toys to families.

 Eyeglasses Donations to Lions Club International



DCS has collected new and used eyeglasses from local residents.  They are donated to the Lions Club Eye Bank. Glasses are then sorted for distribution to optical missions around the world.
